Identification books say these mushrooms are edible and tasty. They are definitely edible but tasty? I’m not so sure. The trouble is they are all gill and no meaty flesh and they tend to disentegrate when cooked. Maybe they are better raw but that’s not a good idea with wild mushrooms.
